Like most comic book movies nowadays, X-MEN: APOCALYPSE will have a post-credits scene (which wasn't shown at the press screening), and writer/producer Simon Kinberg recently shared some info on it during a conversation with Collider. As far as spoilers go, Kinberg didn't give a detailed description of the after-credits sequence, but this is your last chance to turn back if you'd still rather know nothing about it.

Kinberg says the scene will tease the arrival of a new character to the X-Men film franchise, however he'll be introduced by name only.

It’s a nod toward potentially a lot of different movies. I mean certainly the Wolverine movie is related to what happens at the end of it, but there’s also another character that’s introduced, at least in name, in the tag and he could show up in any host of different X-Men films. Maybe a Gambit movie, maybe another X-Men movie.

I'm not sure who Kinberg is talking about, but I'm really hoping that it's Mr. Sinister, who is long overdue for a big screen appearance. Which character do you think will be teased at the end of X-MEN: APOCALYPSE?

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE opens on May 27th, and you can read our review of it HERE.
