A sequel to Ben Stiller's ZOOLANDER may not have been the most unexpected sequel of all time, but it's certainly up there. Fifteen years after Stiller's vacuous male model won our hearts and minds, ZOOLANDER 2 will finally get Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) and Hansel McDonald (Owen Wilson) back on the runway.

We don't know much about ZOOLANDER 2 at the moment, other than what Ben Stiller has been teasing over the past few years:
It's ten years later and most of it is set in Europe. I don't want to give away too much, but it's basically Derek and Hansel ten years later – though the last movie ended on a happy note, a lot of things have happened in the meantime. Their lives have changed and they're not really relevant anymore. It's a new world for them. Will Ferrell is written into the script and he's expressed interest in doing it. I think Mugatu is an integral part of the Zoolander story, so yes, he features in a big way.
In addition to Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, the ZOOLANDER sequel will also see Christine Taylor, Will Ferrell, and Billy Zane returning where they'll be joined by Kristen Wiig, Penélope Cruz, Fred Armisen, Cyrus Arnold, and a whole mess of celebrity cameos. I was never the biggest fan of ZOOLANDER originally, but it's definitely a film which has grown on me over the years, as well as supplying me with more than a few frequently used quotes. Here's hoping that ZOOLANDER 2 can give me a few new ones.
ZOOLANDER 2 will hit theaters on February 12, 2016.
