Marvel announces a November premiere date in this Jessica Jones teaser

Starring Krysten Ritter as the titular character, Marvel's Jessica Jones starts after a brief superhero stint gone wrong, following Jones as she attempts to rebuild her life as a private eye. Dealing with cases involving people with remarkable abilities in New York City, Jones will deal with all sorts of intriguing characters, including the likes of Luke Cage (Mike Colter), who is set to receive his on Netflix show down the road. For the time being, we now have a teaser trailer and premiere date for Jessica Jones: November 20th.

I think most people were surprised by how efficient Marvel was in bringing over a comic property to the Netflix format with Daredevil. Jessica Jones strikes me as the perfect property to follow the same treatment, as she's not exactly a stand-out character with the masses, but can serve as a gateway into bringing in other boys and girls of the Marvel realm (Luke Cage being one of them). It may not be as action packed as Daredevil, but I'm willing to bet we'll have a show just as interesting come November.

Jessica Jones will hit Netflix on November 20, 2015.
