Idris Elba and Chris Pine contend for the captain’s chair of the Enterprise

In the latest promotional video for Omaze, Chris Pine and Idris Elba prove that there can be only one captain of the Enterprise. In this case, I think I would just hand it over to Elba. Seriously, that guy can intimidate with such composure! If you haven’t been brought up to speed, you can win a role in STAR TREK BEYOND and see if you fall prey to Elba’s intimidation game by donating a minimum of $10 to Omaze. In addition to the grand prize of a walk-on role, each week they’re randomly selecting an additional winner to join the To Boldly Go Crew. The members of this honorary crew will visit the set, hang with the cast, and watch as they film scenes from the new film. Check out the promo video!

For those of you interested in donating, you can check out the Omaze website here. The campaign ends in 19 days, so Trekkies may want to act now! Otherwise, we have 11 months to wait until the latest voyage of the Enterprise hits theaters. Here’s hoping the movies really does go beyond what Abrams has already established.

STAR TREK BEYOND opens in theaters on July 8, 2016.
