While the bulk of you may be waiting for the summer movie season to kick in on May 1st, here's an action flick that's done a pretty good job of flying under the radar. As you no doubt have noticed, LAST KNIGHTS stars Clive Owen and Morgan Freeman, with the story following a fallen warrior who rises against a corrupt and sadistic ruler in order to avenge his dishonored master. Director Kazuaki Kiriya (CASSHERN) gives the action/drama some Asian flair, and you can check out some exclusive images of the leading men below, as well as the trailer further down.
Clive Owen is one of those great, charismatic actors who always delivers a reliable performance. He hasn't exactly been handed the most award-worthy movies in the past, but LAST KNIGHTS may prove to be an entertaining one, at the very least. In that regard, I can see how this movie could really benefit from an on demand release. Here's hoping the film doesn't take itself too seriously and knows when to deliver the goods.
