Six more characters from Netflix’s Daredevil revealed including Gladiator

With Netflix and Marvel having completed production on the first season of DAREDEVIL, it is just a countdown to the premiere where we can see if the small screen can accomodate the larger than life superhero. Leading up to the debut, we have now learned of six more characters included in the first thirteen episodes of the show.

Deadline reports that the six new names are Rob Morgan, Matt Gerald, Peter Shinkoda, Wai Ching Ho, Nikolai Nikolaeff, and Gideon Emery. Fans of DAREDEVIL will be especially interested in the first two names on the list as they represent significant characters from Matt Murdock’s comic book adventures.

Rob Morgan plays Turk Barrett, better known as an associate of The Kingpin. Coolio played Turk in the DAREDEVIL feature film. In the comics, the character was associated with The Thunderbolts as well as using the Mauler and Stilt-Man armor. Matt Gerald plays Melvin Potter, better known as Gladiator. Potter was one of the first foes ever faced by Matt Murdock as Daredevil, so it is nice to see the series will be hedging close to the comic roots of the character while also giving us a new interpretation of the story.

DAREDEVIL continues to look like one heck of a production. We will be bringing you our take of each episode when they premiere, so stay tuned for more when the show premieres on April 10th.
