I Want That: Lego unveils Ultimate Collector’s SHIELD Helicarrier set

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

LEGO continues to amaze with their Ultimate Collector’s Series of sets like THE DARK KNIGHT’s Tumbler and the STAR WARS Slave-1 set. The latest addition to the line is the amazing S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier which has been a popular request via the LEGO Ideas website. This March, fans will finally get the chance to buy the $349.99 model.

Coming in at 11 inches high, 31 inches long and 17 inches wide, the set will be made up of 2,996 pieces including five new minifigures and 12 microscale figures. The model mimics the Helicarrier seen in THE AVENGERS as well as CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER and has four working rotator blades that can be hand-cranked or modified to use a Lego power source and a detailed interior control room.

This is a beautiful set and one I would love to put together. I may even be tempted to Craggle it so that it never risks falling on the floor and shattering into a million pieces. As much as I love creatively building LEGO sets, LEGO has proven themselves quite talented at taking cinematic visuals and translating them into their brick format.

Check out some images of the set below as well as a video detailing the model.
