Two days ago, we all were expecting the grand debut of the trailer for AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON to debut during the Tuesday episode of AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D., but HYDRA had to go and leak it early to the joy of fanboys everywhere. Marvel’s publicity stunt was ruined, but instead of releasing the full trailer and leaving it at that, the studio has decided to debut more footage on Tuesday night.

Coming Soon revealed the news as well as an additional premiere of footage set for the following week.

Following this week’s big debut of the trailer to Joss Whedon’s much-anticipated Avengers: Age of Ultron…Marvel Studios has revealed that this week’s “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” will offer even more footage from the May 1, 2015 release! Then, on Tuesday, November 4, ABC will air the special “Marvel 75 Years: From Pulp to Pop!” and offer even more Avengers: Age of Ultron goodness. Look for both to air on ABC at 9:00pm ET/PT on October 28 and November 4, respectively.

I would probably wager that the other scene shown at San Diego Comic Con, a party at Avengers Tower and glimpsed briefly in the teaser, will be the footage debuted on Tuesday. What could be coming after that is likely going to be brand new for everyone. If anything, this definitely shows that Marvel knows how to roll with the punches and are equipped to let something like a leaked trailer fall by the wayside and keep pumping up audiences for more.

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON will hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
