Unverified Star Wars: Episode VII photos reveal some familiar spacecrafts

Any chance to garner intel about J.J. Abrams‘ production of STAR WARS: EPISODE VII has resulted in a stern finger wag from the notoriously secretive filmmaker, but leaks are still bound to happen. A handful of new ones have popped online thanks to a French STAR WARS fansite which Latino Review has shown to sources who claim they are credible.

Now, these are obviously taken on a cell phone or quickly so no one would notice J.J. Abrams‘ vow of silence being broken, but they look like the real deal. In the past four decades, it is possible a recreation of the Falcon could have been built almost anywhere, so we will take this with a grain of salt.

Still, they are pretty cool and serve as a nice reminder that STAR WARS: EPISODE VII is using a lot of practical sets versus pure green screen like the prequels did for many sequences. There is also the interesting fourth image which appears to be a different craft entirely, possibly a Star Destroyer. Rumors have abounded that the Empire still exists in EPISODE VII and this may be our first indication that their spacecraft will still be in use.

Either way, a little STAR WARS: EPISODE VII news is better than none. I just hope we get something official soon or I am going to lose my shit. STAR WARS: EPISODE VII is slated to open December 18, 2015.
