Will Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World feature Pterodactyl riders?

Any rumor in general should be taken with a grain of salt, but that goes doubly so for JURASSIC WORLD. Colin Trevorrow is imagining an Isla Nublar that actually succeeds in what John Hammond was initially trying to accomplish, and when you throw genetic mutations into the mix, it all sounds very plausible. While we still don’t have any clue what the infamous D-Rex will look like, we may be seeing some more in the way of dino-tainment with tourists riding pterodactyls.

Here are the original tweets of a poster on the Jurassic Park Legacy forums:

It sounds crazy enough to actually work, but on the other hand, it could be someone just blowin’ smoke. I kinda dig the idea, although having been one of the few adults WITHOUT a kid to ride Universal Orlando’s Pteranodon Flyers, perhaps that’s personal bias talking. Regardless, I’ve read enough from Mr Trevorrow that I completely trust in the product he’s going to deliver. He sounds like he has all the confidence in the world with this project, and his head and heart are in the right place. Despite two sub-par sequels, JURASSIC WORLD is easily one of my most anticipated films for next year.

JURASSIC WORLD opens on June 12, 2015.
