Catch Melissa McCarthy and Susan Sarandon in a new trailer for Tammy

JoBloJoBlo

If Gangsta's Paradise had dropped off your radar, it was brought back in a big, bad way in the teaser for Melissa McCarthy's latest opus, TAMMY. I really enjoy teasers that allow a scene from a movie to just play out. It gives you a good idea of the vibe they're going for, and it's almost like a short film within itself.  In case you wanted to see a little more, there's a new trailer giving us the scope of the film, as well as showing us where Melissa McCarthy's character might've picked up some of her bad habits.

The best comedies, even ones focusing on a single character, usually have a great supporting cast.  The one assembled here have got my interest, although I hope the film gives them something interesting to do.  The R-rating definitely helps.  Trailer could have used more Aykroyd though.  Just sayin'.

TAMMY, starring Melissa McCarthy, Susan Sarandon, Sandra Oh, Toni Collette, Kathy Bates, and Dan Aykroyd, is set to be released on July 2nd, 2014.
