Young filmmakers Danny Shepherd and Jeremy Le released a NIGHTWING short film back in 2012, which garnered more than a million hits, prompting them to start a Kickstarter campaign to make their own fan-made series for the character. It's been a while since we've heard from them, but now they're back with a first look at the next evolution of their venture. With a nano-budget of $30,000, they've upped their equipment, costumes, etc. to bring the highest production value they could to the project.
Comparing this new teaser to the original short you can see obvious growth and I got a distinct "Arrow" vibe while watching it. I've always been a big fan of Dick Grayson/Nightwing and would love to see him in his own series, so this is heartily welcomed. With the tease of Nightwing possibly appearing in Zack Snyder's BATMAN VS SUPERMAN and fan pieces like this, it's nice to see the first Robin get some screen time again.
