A new red-band trailer for director David Ayer's SABOTAGE has dropped, showing off more of the family angle for Arnold Schwarzenegger's character, who end up becoming the driving force behind his vengeance when the drug cartel he's battling kidnaps them. So far that's been more of a side note in the advertising, but it appears to play a much bigger role in this new trailer, which harkens back to the Arnold of old (think: COMMANDO). There's plenty of new footage here and more than enough carnage to promise that this is likely to be a brutal affair.

Take a look:

Here's the synopsis:

Members of an elite DEA task force find themselves being taken down one by one after they rob a drug cartel safe house.

I really feel like this will be the first solid entry in Arnold's return to film. Although his last two flicks, THE LAST STAND and ESCAPE PLAN were decent fun, this feels more akin to the hardcore, modern day, grizzled Arnold that has a good mix of old school Arnold mixed up with his older image. With a solid supporting cast, including Joe Manganiello, Sam Worthington, Josh Holloway, Terrence Howard, Mireille Enos, Harold Perrineau, Olivia Williams, and Max Martini, this is shaping up to be a gritty kick ass actioner.

SABOTAGE is set to unleash the firepower on March 28, 2014.
