Sam Rockwell and Olivia Wilde get high in the trailer for Better Living Through Chemistry

Sam Rockwell deserves to be one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. He continues to deliver in films as diverse as MOON and THE WAY, WAY BACK and yet doesn’t seem to quite get the big screen leading man roles he deserves. But, what is the loss for summer blockbusters is our gain as he continues to appear in interesting small films like BETTER LIVING THROUGH CHEMISTRY. While the trailer starts out seeming like the promo for a bad mainstream comedy, it begins to turn into something much different.

A straight-laced pharmacist’s uneventful life spirals out of control when he starts an affair with a trophy wife customer who takes him on a joyride involving sex, drugs and possibly murder.

The story is one we have seen many times before (suburban man is dissatisfied with his life and finds something that jerks him out of it), but with a strong cast including the super hot Olivia Wilde, BETTER LIVING THROUGH CHEMISTRY could be a sleeper hit. Plus, you never ignore a Sam Rockwell performance as he never ceases to surprise and entertain.

BETTER LIVING THROUGH CHEMISTRY also stars Michelle Monaghan, Ray Liotta, and Jane Fonda. It hits theaters on March 14, 2014.
