JoBloJoBlo

Many of you are getting ready for another jaunt to Middle Earth next month with THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG breathing fire down your neck for its impending release. Although many are approaching the middle part of the trilogy with trepidation, especiall after so many seemed to be slighted by the first chapter, I get the feeling this will win more favor, mostly because it has quite a few things going for it, a few of which include: dragons, bears, spiders, and a smokin' hot elf. Oh, and a shitload of gold. Today, we have a look at some new images, a TV spot, and a really cool featurette that highlights the dwarves' visit to Beorn's house, which will likely play some mind tricks on you. Watch the video and you'll see what I mean.

Here’s the TV spot:

Here’s the featurette:

Pretty cool featurette, right? It's been decades since I've read The Hobbit, so the details are fuzzy, but Beorn (played by Mikael Persbrandt) sounds like he's going to be a lot of fun in this adaptation. Seems like it's getting a little popular to NOT like THE HOBBIT these days, but I'm super excited for the next entry, especially with the aforementioned accoutrements being added in.

THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG journeys to theaters on December 13, 2013.
