Chris Pine might be one of the new Horrible Bosses in the sequel

Now that I think about it, Captain Kirk is kind of a shitty boss. Deadline has learned New Line is searching for actors for a father/son duo of horrible bosses for the sequel, and the son may be played by Chris Pine. The studio was also trying to snag Christoph Waltz as the father, but unfortunately the actor won't be available for HORRIBLE BOSSES 2 or whatever they end up calling it.

Chris Pine might seem like a step down compared to Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Spacey and Colin Farrell from the first film, but if he's teamed up with a great actor like Christoph Waltz it could be a recipe for awesome. Anthony Hopkins maybe?

I'm not a huge fan of the first film. With all the excellent talent involved I was expecting it to be much funnier and was pretty disappointed with the end result. There are some scenes that are hilarious, however overall it's not the most consistent comedy. But I'll give the sequel a chance if the story isn't just more of the same and New Line finds some interesting actors for the new bosses from hell. Maybe having a different director will help.

HORRIBLE BOSSES 2 will be in theaters November 26th, 2014.
