Michelle Rodriguez and Danny Trejo look like a hell of a team in this still from Machete Kills

I remember when my Dad saw the first trailer for MACHETE. I believe he said something along the lines of “f*cking stupid” and “awesome, gotta see that”. He has strong opinions. But I think he sort of summed it up nicely. Of course, “f*cking stupid” is a compliment with it comes to this movie. It’s corny, good ol’ fashioned fun. That’s exactly what Robert Rodriguez is going for here.

A new still from the sequel, MACHETE KILLS shows off Michelle Rodriguez alongside Danny Trejo in a rather showy outfit. How cool do they look as a team? I’d be more than happy to have Rodriguez as a sidekick. Actually, I’d wind up being her sidekick because I am nowhere near as bad ass as she is. Check out the still below.

Danny Trejo returns as ex-Federal agent Machete, who is recruited by the President of the United States (Charlie Sheen) for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man – he must take down a madman revolutionary and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer (Mel Gibson) who has hatched a plan to spread war across the planet.

MACHETE KILL comes to theaters on September 13, 2013.
