One of my favorite people on Twitter, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson should have been in one of the EXPENDABLES films by now, right? I mean, he’s sort of a gimme. I get how the first was basically a big reunion of awesome 80s/90s action heroes, but why didn’t Johnson make the cut for the second? Also, why has no one called Vin Diesel? Are we waiting for THE EXPENDABLES 4 which will probably be for action stars of the 2000s?
Regardless, I think we’d all love to see Johnson trade flexes amongst his fellow action peers. Collider asked Johnson if Sylvester Stallone called him up for a role in THE EXPENDABLES 3, would he take it, this is what he said:
It all depends. Yeah, sure. I like Sly. He’s been a buddy for some time. That continues to grow, too and I’m excited about that and I know a lot of guys are. I love the first one and I’m excited about the second one. Sure, if he needs somebody to hunt somebody down, he knows where I’m at.
I would like more of The Rock in my life. I also can’t wait to see Jackie Chan in the next one. He’s so freaking awesome. I’m sure they will gather up some good names for the third installment.
