If you thought HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART 2 was going to be the last time you saw Harry Potter and friends on the big screen, you were mistaken. Well, sort of.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that there is a mini-Harry Potter movie filming at the British studios where much of the series was made. Their report says film cast are involved with the new movie including Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange. Seeing as her character did not make out of the final movie alive, this will likely be a special little extra that takes place some time around the sixth or final movie.

The movie will be made specifically to screen at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park at Universal Studios in Florida, California, and eventually Japan. I myself am looking forward to the chance to visit the theme park at some point and the prospect of a professionally directed movie with the actual sets, props, costumes, and actors is a cool bonus. No word on whether any of the main stars will appear in the short, but one could hold out hope.

No word on when the movie will begin airing, but I would think sometime next year is a safe bet.
