The Walking Dead video game trailer has been revealed

Yesterday, the internet was discussing THE WALKING DEAD’s excellent finale from Sunday night as well as the casting of fan favorite character Michonne. Well, today comes the premiere of THE WALKING DEAD video game.

The storyline is described as an untold story following convicted criminal Lee Everett; a man given a second chance at life in a world gone to hell. With danger around every corner, protecting an orphaned girl named Clementine may offer him redemption in a world of true horror. Experience events, meet people and visit locations foreshadowing the story of Deputy Sheriff Rick Grimes in this extension of Robert Kirkman’s award-winning universe. This is a 5 part game of Adventure Horror, where the decisions that you make will have profound and lasting consequences.

Based on the trailer and the behind the scenes footage on the game’s website, it appears to follow more closely with the comic book style and continuity than the television series. But, characters from the show/comic will appear in the game.

I am a zombie nut and a huge fan of THE WALKING DEAD. I have been reading every issue of the comic, loved the RISE OF THE GOVERNOR novel, and I am looking forward to the game as well.

Tell Tale Games is taking pre-orders for the game on their website. There is a glut of zombie survival games on the market today, but THE WALKING DEAD is proving to be a property that goes beyond the normal fanboys and has tapped into the pop culture mainstream. Hopefully this will mean good things for us undead fans in the future.
