Check out two new clips from The Hunger Games

JOHN CARTER could have used the marketing campaign given to THE HUNGER GAMES. I don’t think I have seen a movie pushed this hard since TWILIGHT. But, unlike TWILIGHT, I am actually looking forward to seeing this film. Gary Ross is a very good director going all the way back to PLEASANTVILLE.

Check out the new clip feating Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) being interviewed by Caesar Flickerman (Stanley Tucci) from THE HUNGER GAMES.

So far we have only really seen clips of dialogue from the movie and the trailers only hint at the action in store for us, but hopefully we will see more than slow-motion arrows before the movie hits screens next week.

We also have a new behind the scenes video that has made it onto YouTube. This is a b-roll of various shots from the film. The footage is very raw but gives an interesting insight into how they filmed the movie. I am intrigued by clips like this because it shows such a stark contrast to how the final product appears on the big screen.

I am a fan of the post-apocalyptic genre, so I am going to give this one a shot. I was poised to read the books before the movie was released but never got around to it. With a cast as good as this and an already rabid fan-base, you would think that it would be hard to turn in anything aside from a box office success. That doesn’t mean too much in terms of the quality of the movie itself. Again, just check out the TWILIGHT movies.

THE HUNGER GAMES opens March 23rd.
