Which actors got the biggest pieces of cash pie for American Reunion?

While you would think that half the cast of AMERICAN REUNION was doing the film for publicity alone, as there aren’t too many skyrocketing careers in the group, THR has an interesting story about which actors got paid how much to reprise their roles.

Reportedly Jason Biggs and Seann William Scott got $5M each, while How I Met Your Mother’s Alyson Hannigan got $3M. Eugene Levy, who has been milking the series on DVD for years is also getting $3M.

Somewhere in a range between $500K and $750K are Chris Klein, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Natasha Lyonne, Jennifer Coolidge, Mena Suvari and Shannon Elizabeth.

Then we have poor Tara Reid, who reportedly took the $250K initially offered to her. Guess she needs a better agent, or at least a few friends from the cast who could have clued her in as to what standard was. I mean Natasha Lyonne is getting $500K to be in this? Really?

Seann William Scott is still on occasion a leading man, so I understand his payout. Biggs is the star of the show, and despite his absence of other notable films, he was in a power position to get that much cash. I’m a little surprised Hannigan isn’t getting the same amount, as she’s the only one currently starring in something extremely successful, and is practically the second lead in these films, but I guess women just get paid less in Hollywood, which is an unfortunate fact of the industry.
