After
weeks and months of speculation, and our own CAST
THIS
feature coming up with Rachel McAdams, Evangeline Lilly and Zooey
Deschanel as the 1-2-3 picks from our readers, it’s recent THE FIGHTER
Academy Award nominee Amy Adams who has been chosen by director Zack
Snyder to play opposite Henry Cavill in the SUPERMAN REBOOT film, to be
released in 2012. Snyder revealed that despite many leading ladies gunning
for the role, she was the "clear choice" after his meeting with
Adams. "There was a big, giant search for Lois.
For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a
lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I
just felt she was perfect for it.
", said Snyder. The SUCKER
PUNCH director wouldn’t discuss any more details about the film’s plot,
only to say that Lois Lane would be a "linchpin" to the story,
and that her character would have a contemporary appeal and spirit. The
film has already cast Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as the Kents, and would
be looking for a 2012 release.
