The writing team that brought you Leap Year are now adapting Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus

Okay so, I can’t be mean towards the writing/directing duo of Harry Elfont and Deborah Kaplan. They brought me three movies I enjoy: CAN’T HARDLY WAIT, THE BRADY BUNCH and A VERY BRADY SEQUEL.

However, I don’t know if I can get behind an adaptation of Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. Everyone knows about the best-selling book from John Gray. The basic idea behind the book was to help men and women understand the non-understandables of the opposite sex. Then in turn, they use this knowledge to better communicate with one another. “Why do men think about breasts all the time?” Because they are programed that way, shut up and get used to it.

Elfont and Kaplan will write and direct the adaptation which they are turning into a rom-com. The last film the duo did together was LEAP YEAR with Amy Adams and Matthew Goode.

I’d ask you what you think about this project but I can probably guess. Maybe we’ll get one positive comment. Although it probably won’t be about this. Any CAN’T HARDLY WAIT fans out there?
