I had originally heard from a few people I trust that DRIVE ANGRY 3D, which screened at Butt-Numb-A-Thon in Austin earlier this month, was pretty bad. But then I talked to some more people about the film yesterday who were at the BNAT screening and they indicated it played like gangbusters and is a shitload of fun. Frankly I’m leading towards the latter.
This new trailer for the film plays it like an old grindhouse movie and frankly that’s the best sell for a movie like this. An old school, car-driven revenge thriller in 3D with Nic Cage growling his way through against a devilish (pun intended) William Fichtner. What do you think? I know Nic Cage can be a polarizing figure but when he’s hamming it up on purpose, it’s hard not to be entertained. Check it out below…
