So that’s why Aronofsky decided to helm THE WOLVERINE…
Okay, I don’t know for sure if this is why, but there was a press release sent out today saying that Aronofsky signed a two-year deal with Fox. “Under the deal, Protozoa will develop and produce films for both Twentieth Century Fox and Fox Searchlight Pictures.” This way Aronofsky can do bigger films as well as the smaller ones that he tends to favor.
I say good for him. If anyone deserves something like this, it’s Aronofsky. I look forward to what Protozoa offers up within the two-years.

Under the deal, Protozoa will develop and produce films for both Twentieth Century Fox and Fox Searchlight Pictures. Aronofsky’s debut picture under the pact will be THE WOLVERINE, starring Hugh Jackman. Written by Oscar®-winner Christopher McQuarrie, the film is scheduled to begin production in April next year.”
