Dragon Tattoo star Noomi Rapace may deal with Dracula on The Last Voyage of the Demeter

JoBloJoBlo

When she first hit Hollywood a couple of months ago, Swedish actress Noomi Rapace (THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, etc.) was reported to be immediately pursued for several high-profile projects, leading everyone to wonder which one she might do. From the way things are going, she could actually end up doing a whole bunch of them.

Rapace has already joined the SHERLOCK HOLMES sequel and her name has been linked with Ridley Scott’s new ALIEN and the HANSEL AND GRETEL action movie, and now she’s apparently boarding another project she was initially considered for, THE LAST VOYAGE OF THE DEMETER.

According to the LA Times, Noomi will join Sir Ben Kingsley and an as-yet-uncast male lead in the terror tale from Oscar-winning director Stefan Ruzowitzky (THE COUNTERFEITERS), about the doomed ship that transported Dracula’s coffin to England. They say Rapace will play “a stowaway on the boat, which according to legend arrived at its port with no survivors, prompting speculation that the vampire corpse made a little mayhem.”
