Colin Farrell, Ed Harris, and Jim Sturgess go on a journey to freedom in The Way Back trailer

This trailer for Peter Weir’s THE WAY BACK was put on this site a few days ago, but we never ran an article for it.

I wanted to put this up for anyone who might have missed it as it seemed to slip through the cracks. We haven’t posted anything on this film since last year in December. Sadly, I had actually forgotten about it. I have no clue how that could have happened since Weir is a great director and this should be an interesting film. It’s based on the novel “The Long Walk: The True Story of a Trek to Freedom” by Slavomir Rawicz. The story is a true one based on the soldiers who escaped the Siberian gulag in 1940.

From the looks of this first trailer, the movie looks like it’s going to be spectacular. Check it out below along with a synopsis.

Synopsis: After escaping a Siberian labor camp in 1940, seven courageous multi-national prisoners discover the true meaning of friendship as their epic journey takes them across thousands of miles of hostile terrain en-route to India and their freedom.”
