Cool Videos: The FULL live-action Pokemon trailer

JoBloJoBlo

This is a follow-up post to something I put up last week. It was a garbled footage of the last thirty seconds of a trailer for what appeared to be a live-action Pokemon movie, complete with gunfire and car bombs.

We were all wondering what it was, and now the entire full three minute spot has been put online in HD glory, and yes, it is a fan film. And if I’m being honest, it worked much better in garbled bootleg form where you couldn’t see exactly how terrible the Pokemon animations are, and it had an air of mystery about it.

But in any case, I think the idea is fundamentally a good one, and I understand the limits of a fan’s budget. It’s meant to be a commentary on how EVERYthing is getting a gritty reboot these days, but I for one would love to see this as an actual movie (Electrode car bombs? Team Rocket with assault rifles? Mewtwo induced suicide? Awesome), though it would never ever happen as Nintendo will insist on making Pokemon for children forever.
