JJ Abrams’ mysterious Super 8 gets Kyle Chandler, Elle Fanning and more

JoBloJoBlo

We’re still trying to fill in some blanks on filmmaker JJ Abrams’ covert project SUPER 8. We know that he’s working with Steven Spielberg and it’s been described as a “tribute” to his sci-fi movies, leading to speculation that it will somehow involve kids discovering extraterrestrials.

Now a couple more blanks have been filled in, with word that “Friday Night Lights” star Kyle Chandler and Dakota’s kid sis Elle Fanning (THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON) are now on board, presumably as humans.

UPDATE: The Wrap is now reporting that actors Ron Eldard (BLACK HAWK DOWN) and Noah Emmerich (THE TRUMAN SHOW) are also on board, along with Gabriel Basso, Joel Courtney, Riley Griffiths, Ryan Lee and Zach Mills.

The movie is due in theaters next summer, so we’re going to be teased and tantalized for several more months. For the moment, you can seek clues in the original teaser:
