Wow, I never quite realized how similar THE TOURIST was going to be to KNIGHT AND DAY. A spy (Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie) ensnares an average citizen (Cameron Diaz, Johnny Depp) to be a distractor for them as the execute some elaborate plan in an action adventure comedy that takes them across the globe.
It really is a similar plot, with the gender roles reversed, although I imagine THE TOURIST will be the higher quality of the two, and less of an overt comedy.

This first trailer showcases much of the plot I’ve just mentioned, and makes the film look suitably interesting, if not terribly original. The soundtrack is pretty rocking too.
