Stephen Hawking warned us about alien encounters in this new Skyline trailer

What the hell did I just watch?

It was the trailer for SKYLINE.

The beginning is flooded with warnings of what Steven Hawking once foretold about extraterrestrials. He said that, “If aliens ever visit us, I think the outcome would be much as when Christopher Columbus first landed in America, which didn’t turn out very well for the Native Americans.” The trailer is a bit short, but does it’s job gathering interest.

When Jim Law went to the panel for the film at Comic-Con, words like: CLOVERFIELD, INDEPENDENCE DAY, DISTRICT 9, and “Brett Ratner excitement” got brought up. While the last scene of the ship sucking up all of those people is cool (at least to me anyway), I’d like to see more footage though. Hopefully the helmers of the film, The Brothers Strause haven’t put too much of a bad taste in your mouth since their last effort, AVP: REQUIEM.

Watch out for the anal probes. To check it out in HD head over to Apple.

Official synopsis:

“In the sci-fi thriller Skyline, strange lights descend on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame where an extraterrestrial force threatens to swallow the entire human population off the face of the Earth.”
