Remember when THE FINAL DESTINATION came out and they titled it THE FINAL DESTINATION stressing that it would be the definitive final installment in the franchise? Yeah well, they were just kidding. While speaking about the future of 3D at ShoWest yesterday, Warner Bros. president Alan Horn confirmed that a fifth FINAL DESTINATION film is in the works in 3D.
Because this came as a comment at a press conference no details were given to back up the statement and nothing is known about the sequel. But what really do you need to know? A new group of teens will cheat death and then be picked off one-by-one in increasingly gruesome and 3D ways.
I’ve always found the DESTINATION movies to be the least offensive of the perpetuating horror films that somewhat needlessly repeat themselves. They’re at least having fun, which is more than I can say for SAW. We’re digging around as I write this trying to find more info on FINAL DESTINATION 5 so as soon as I hear more, I’ll share it with you here.
