Greg Berlanti to possibly direct the Flash

JoBloJoBlo

Another day, another possible director for a comic adaptation.

IESB is saying that Greg Berlanti is the leading director to helm THE FLASH. Berlanti’s name may not sound too familiar. The guy has done a lot of producing and writing for television, most recently for his creation ELI STONE. He’s also directing the upcoming, LIFE AS WE KNOW IT starring Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel.

You might be wondering what the hell Berlanti might have to offer a film like THE FLASH. All I can give you is the fact that he’s writing and producing THE GREEN LANTERN. Originally he was in line to direct the constantly shirtless Ryan Reynolds until Martin Campbell jumped on board.

It’s said that Warner Brothers were impressed with Berlanti’s prep work on LANTERN and are willing to let him run with the FLASH film.

Is this a good choice? I didn’t get into ELI STONE, so I don’t really have much of a feel for this guy. He wrote one episode of DAWSON’S CREEK, which was okay. They all blend together for me at some point.

What I’m really is wondering, who will play THE FLASH?
