I’ve been waiting patiently for the TRON: LEGACY trailer to show up and smart money had it debuting on prints of ALICE IN WONDERLAND. It would make sense… Both are Disney films, both are in 3D and both can attract an older audience that Disney films usually bring in. While it seemed that was something that might happen, there hasn’t been any confirmation. Now there’s a TRON: LEGACY viral site online that appears to be counting down to something. A new trailer?
A new site titled Zero Hour is online and features some symbols that you might be familiar with in the TRON franchise. At first it doesn’t make much sense as some symbols flash and some stay the same. But what you’re seeing is actually a binary countdown to the afternoon of February 24th (8 days from today). Could it be that this is counting down to the online debut of the new trailer? It would be a good deal in advance of ALICE hitting theaters but perhaps to help market to the web-savvy audience they’re going online early?
