Zombies have infiltrated almost every movie genre thus far, with zombie action movies (DAWN OF THE DEAD), zombie horror dramas (28 DAYS LATER), zombie comedies (ZOMBIELAND, SHAUN OF THE DEAD) and even zombie love stories (COLIN). Hell, aren’t they even going ahead with PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES too? So logic would follow that they would eventually get claw their way into the animated film business as well.
What you see below is the very stylish animated trailer for A.D. which features a computer animated pair of survivors hacking off zombie heads in a very un-Pixar-like way. It looks like a lot of fun to me, and I dig the soundtrack as well. I’m not sure where exactly we’ll end up seeing this, if it’ll be online, on DVD or it actually lurches its way into theaters, but for a bunch more info, ZombieInfo.com (God, I love the internet) has a great interview with those behind the project here.
