You might not think too much of that fleeting moment when a film’s title first appears, but it takes on a different essence when viewed along with dozens of others.
Web designer Christian Annyas has been capturing these brief title cards and storing them in a single growing repository, the Movie Title Stills Collection. While not nearly comprehensive, it is well-structured and does contain several movies (both popular and more obscure) from each year, plus separate sections for Westerns and Noir.
