The new teaser for the sardonic superhero flick KICK-ASS seems to do a decent job of getting the premise across: a geeky teen randomly decided to become a costumed vigilante, and kinda sucks at it.
SUPERBAD’s Christopher Mintz-Plasse is a colorful competitor named Red Mist, and Nic Cage and Chloe Moretz play a violent father-daughter crimefighter team (Mark Strong is the gangster in their sights).

The flick comes from director Matthew Vaughn (STARDUST, LAYER CAKE), who independently financed the movie, based on the high-concept (and endlessly delayed) comic series by WANTED writer Mark Millar.
