A Russian trailer might not be the best introduction to the Angelina Jolie espionage thriller SALT, but at least guns, car chases and juicy lips are part of the universal language.
It’s not too difficult to decipher what’s going on, especially if you’re familiar with the set-up: Jolie is a CIA operative accused of being a Russian sleeper spy and sent on the run to prove her innocence. This exoneration clearly involves pistols, punches, costume changes and leaping on speeding vehicles.
The movie, which also features spellcheck-defiant actors Liev Schreiber and Chiwetel Ejiofor, comes from Jolie’s BONE COLLECTOR director Phillip Noyce (who also handled Jack Ryan in PATRIOT GAMES and A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER).
