Michael Cera’s filmography is filled with fidgety characters and quests to get laid, and YOUTH IN REVOLT doesn’t seem to be very different… and then it definitely does, as you’ll see below.
In the movie, Cera plays trailer-park teen Nick Twisp trying to win the heart (and other biological components) of the lovely Sheeri Saunders, which leads to an escalating series of misadventures. The adaptation of C.D Payne’s books is directed by Miguel Arteta (THE GOOD GIRL) and also features Steve Buscemi, Jean Smart, Ray Liotta, Justin Long, Fred Willard and the suddenly omnipresent Zack Galifianakis.
