If you were anywhere near Comic Con last week, you probably saw the giant AVATAR banners which featured Sam Worthington all gussied up as a blue-skinned Na’vi. On first glance, you might confuse this new poster with that one, but as you’ll see this is a new alien entirely, and is actually Zoe Saldana’s character in the film. How you turn Zoe Saldana from sexy to terrifying is a mystery to me, and only a special effects wizard like James Cameron would be able to pull that off.
It’s clear that it’s going to be a bit of a challenge to keep track of the Na’vi when the action picks up, if it’s already a task to tell Worthington from Saldana in the posters. I also like how it advertises that Cameron as the director of TITANIC, which has so much to do with this movie. You think you’d go with ALIENS or TERMINATOR there.
