Looking to regain some box office clout after MY SISTER’S KEEPER died a pretty quick theatrical death, Cameron Diaz has apparently set her mind on getting into the Seth Rogen business. “Hollywood Insider” has learned that she’s in early talks to play the female lead opposite Rogen in his upcoming GREEN HORNET adaptation. Rogen, who’s also writing the flick, with Michel Gondry directing, will, of course, be playing the titular newspaperman-cum-superhero who fights crime alongside his Asian sidekick Kato. Female lead in this case probably means love interest as well so it’s probable we’ll be seeing some Diaz-on-Rogen action. Though going from Katherine Heigl to Amber Heard to Anna Faris to Diaz seems like a significant step down. Production is expected to begin soon with a release already set for July 9th, 2010.
