SNLers do Spider-Man

JoBloJoBlo

If you didn’t make it to ye local comic shoppe last week, you missed the one-shot “Spider-Man: The Short Halloween”.

What makes this book different from the hundred-plus other titles churned out by Marvel on a monthly basis? It was written by “Saturday Night Live” regulars Bill Hader and Seth Meyers, following other famous geeks to the printed pages of superheroes.

The humorous story (illustrated with artist Kevin Maguire’s expressive style) is a tale of mistaken identity, in which an inebriated costume party attendee inadvertently finds himself swapped for the wall-crawler himself. And with some Z-list villains in the mix, events lead to all manner of expected ensuable hijinx.

Unfortunately Marvel still hasn’t completely hooked onto the digital download wagon (the legal one), but you can find out more about the book RIGHT HERE.
