No gays in Star Wars?

JoBloJoBlo

Homosexual. Gay. Lesbian. A Jedi knows not these things. At least according to the developers of the MMORPG “Star Wars: The Old Republic.” A number of threads on the game’s boards discussed potential homosexuality within the game or the legitimate homosexuality of some of the users. Those threads were immediately locked. As you might expect, numerous threads popped up complaining that discussions of homosexuality were being censored. Those threads were also locked along with a message from BioWare community manager Sean Dahlberg: “As I have stated before, these are terms that do not exist in Star Wars. Thread closed.”

The threads in question, and the entire “Old Republic” message boards actually, are conveniently down today for “scheduled maintenance” (though I was able to find at least one complaining thread in Google’s cache). In the meanwhile, you could always check out Mr. Dahlberg on Twitter and politely let him know your thoughts on this matter. Cause dude? There’s totally gayness in STAR WARS.
