Date for Robin Hood

JoBloJoBlo

After being kicked around Sherwood Forest for a while (in part from the WGA strike), Ridley Scott’s ROBIN HOOD project is finally coming to rob from the rich and give to the vast majority of the current population.

The movie (formerly called NOTTINGHAM but now unofficially titled) has been given a release date of May 14, 2010 by Universal. The latest version of the famed wealth-redistributing archer stars burly A-lister Russell Crowe (but apparently not also as the Sheriff, as initially reported), Cate Blanchett as his Marian, and Scott Grimes and Kevin Durand as his trusted comrades in thievery.

That date puts the yet-to-begin-shooting movie (the fifth Crowe/Scott union) sandwiched in a busy month that already includes IRON MAN 2, PRINCE OF PERSIA and a fourth unnecessary SHREK.
