Fox is basically where comic book movies go to die but they’re apparently not satisfied with the death of their FANTASTIC FOUR franchise. According to the IESB, they’re planning to reboot the franchise completely – new cast, new story, new everything – with the intention of making it, of course, a more IRON MAN, DARK KNIGHT-ish franchise. The first two films may have been critically reamed but they were relatively successful so it’s unclear why they feel the need to reboot the whole damn thing rather than just make a sequel with an edgier, darker story. Of course, if THE INCREDIBLE HULK taught us anything, it’s that rebooting a franchise so soon after the last film in the franchise was released doesn’t always work out exactly as everyone hoped, box office wise. In any case, strike back thoughts below.
A Fantastic reboot?
