When JoBlo.com asked me to interview the cast of upcoming action thriller TAKEN, I was more than excited at the prospect of meeting one of my favorite actors, Liam Neeson. The distinguished and handsome Irishman has displayed an incredibly magnetic on-screen presence in several highly acclaimed films like SCHINDLER’S LIST, MICHAEL COLLINS and KINSEY. I remember being instantly smitten, when I first saw him in SATISFACTION. Up next, Neeson proves he’s got the acting chops to take on a physically challenging role, in which he kicks some serious ass.
Written-produced by action-thriller aficionado Luc Besson and directed by Pierre Morel, who helmed DISTRICT 13, TAKEN is one big adrenaline rush from beginning to end. The rousing story is based on a former government operative played by Neeson, who must find his daughter after she’s kidnapped, while vacationing in Paris. Last week, I finally had the pleasure of sitting down with the captivating actor, to chat about his thoughts and experiences in making this film.
