Trailers for two non-Pixar animated films that actually look pretty decent recently debuted online. The first is for Disney’s BOLT. In it, the titular dog (voiced by John Travolta) is the star of a TV show in which he’s a super-powered pup but when he mistakenly believes his owner Penny (voiced by Miley Cyrus) is kidnapped, he ventures into the real world thinking he has superpowers. The second is for Universal’s upcoming THE TALE OF DESPEREAUX. Based on the popular Kate DiCamillo novel, the film centers on a giant-eared rat (voiced by Matthew Broderick) who doesn’t conform to his species’ fearful lifestyle and becomes wrapped up in an adventure because of his boldness and daring. The all-star voice cast includes Dustin Hoffman, Kevin Kline, Sigourney Weaver, Emma Watson, Robbie Coltrane, William H. Macy, Stanley Tucci. Christopher Lloyd, Ciaran Hinds and Tracey Ullman.
