Frosty over at Collider recently got some scoop on the release date for Richard Kelly’s horror thriller THE BOX. Those of you hoping to get a peek at it this year will, unfortunately, be disappointed as it seems Warner Bros. is planning to release it September 11th of next year. In it, Cameron Diaz and James Marsden star as a couple who are given a mysterious box that will grant them instant wealth if opened with the only caveat being that in exchange, someone they don’t know will die. Faced with this dilemma, they of course open the box and start a shitstorm of chaos. The release date also means that the film’s presence at Comic Con this year will either be reduced or cut out altogether. But next year should be packed with all kinds of good stuff.
