Grayskull greatness?

JoBloJoBlo

He-Man That crazy Latino bastard El Mayimbe from over at “Latino Review” recently got his hands on Justin Marks’ script for GRAYSKULL: MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE and loved the living hell out of it. In fact, he describes it as “LORD OF THE RINGS meets THE MATRIX and a little BATMAN BEGINS thrown in for good measure.” What’s so damn good about it, you may ask? Well, for starters, it takes the world of He-Man seriously with none of the camp or delicious cheese of the Dolph Lundgren version to be found anywhere. There’s also what seems to be a great melding of fantasy and science fiction (a la the Jim Caviezel starring OUTLANDER, though who knows when the hell that one’s gonna be released). And from what Mayimbe writes, the story itself seems like a pretty damn good epic adventure. Will it actually happen, though? Tough to say at this point. Fantasy hasn’t really been breaking box office bank of late so any studio will be reticent to spend a lot of money to fully realize what seems to be a very epic story.
